Anyone know the all up weight of the 4.5?

I've now got my 4.7 block all ready to assemble when I clear some stuff from my shedule. Unlike taking it apart where I was scrabbling round the floor and various rags on my knees I thought I'd treat myself to an engine stand for the rebuild.

I need to know the all up weight to choose one that'll do the job.

Unless anyone has actually got one and is willing to recommend?

They're supposed to be 120kg, so factor in a decent margin and you're done.

MCD website seems to have gone, so unfortunately no link.

ETA: Try google, quite a few links stating 121kg

Yep, looks okay. However getting a 450kg version because of noted concerns about reaching the bell jhousing bolts on the smaller models.

I'll eventually post up a photo showing fit if anyone interested

You want a lift that will take the 120Kg at a good reach, not on its shortest settings.

Will the weight need to be added to ? What about ancillaries and gear box?

I've been rebuilding mine on one of these:

It's worked well and always felt stable and sturdy enough.
