I'm seriously considering selling my Tag Heuer Aquaracer Calibre S Lewis Hamilton Limited Edition.

http://www.thewatchgallery.co.uk/watch.asp?product...

I'm a massive formula 1 & Lewis Hamilton fan but i'm eyeing up getting the Lewis Hamilton Edition of the Tag Heuer Carrera so am thinking I might get rid of the Aquaracer to fund it.

I am lucky enough to own No 2 of 3500 (limited edition) & I understand something like this has got a good collectors value to it but not sure what it would be worth.

Rather poetic seeing as Lewis will be Driving as car number 2 in this years grand prix season.

Any ideas of the kind of price I could likely expect for something like this ?

Assuming it comes with full box & papers & is in very good condition I'd guess at somewhere between £500 & £750 selling it privately.

ummmm I would be very shocked if that was the case.

£500 to £700 for a limited edition (no 2 of 3500).

I would have to agree with Andy. That seems about right.

Hmmm

think it may be worth mentioning it on an F1 forum then as i'm sure it's got to be worth more than that being No 2 of a limited edition.

thanks guys.

phone a used watch dealer and ask what they'd give, add on 20% and put it in the classifieds, see how you get on.

to add, my colleague had a limited edition watch, the premium over the standard one wasnt huge on the used market, sorry.

A, I would not say that 3500 is exactly a limited edition
B, It does not make any odds if it's No1 or No3001 (in my eyes), it would be worth the same amount (probably less than you paid).

I have just ordered a limited edition from a certain manufacturer, only 50 being made and I doubt very much if it will ever be worth a premium.

Try a high price that you're happy with and see what sort of interest it conjures up! You can always drop the price at any time or decide to hold onto it if the price is too low for you to sell for.

The only problem is that you need to find someone who wants that style of watch (Aquaracer/Calibre S) and someone who is a fan of Lewis Hamilton. However as they're still for sale, it would seem that even though it is a limited edition, they are still widely available.

The Glycine Incursore BJ on Jura was dropped from £1,270 to £735, brand new, and that was 1/350!

Unless you really need the cash for the Carrera, hold onto it - It's a nice watch! smile

Yes - 3,500 pieces is hardly much of a limited edition.

Wise words.

Tag's tend not to be worth very much second hand - especially the Quartz versions.

Have seen the Carrera Automatic Lewis Hamilton edition for £1750 online.

But then my local jeweller has a standard Carrera Automatic priced at £1100.

Hmmm

such a tough choice.

I think this was the nicest looking F1 they made. 500 made which IMO is tops for limited. Not a lover of some TAG's personally. I think they have been chaved like some breitlings not all though.

Thread revival!

I have just sold my Lewis Hamilton Tag on eBay for £750- it has a small scratch on the face (i know this shouldn't happen but it did) and it was well worn in fairness.

Someone from Germany bought it, if yours is in good condition i should imagine it would be worth more than that.

+1

Having some racing drivers name on it makes it less appealing to me, a bit too "celebrity"
