Received an email earlier telling me that due to computer upgrades/issues that although my order was taken, the watch was actually out of stock Hey ho these things happen thought I, however and none the less, the wording of the email left a fair bit to be desired. My Wife, who is a customer services manager and was dealing with the order, is furious and in lounge parlance, a display of 'the mental' was evidenced.
So back to plan A, I'll just get the vintage omega for my Mammy that I had intended to get her in the first place. Only reason I had deviated from plan A is that my folks are going to the Rhine valley for her birthday and I thought I would sling them some spending and a CW.

I had the initial confirmation email in the afternoon but nothing else.

Emailed them this afternoon as I hadn't had a dispatch email or anything so was just checking up on the order. I got a reply back saying unfortunately the system crashed etc which meant too many people bought the watches!
The more annoying thing is the watch I want was one of very few that was still showing as 'in stock' after the rest had all sold out, and even yesterday it was still available to buy
