18 Die in Belgian train crash

Really sad.
Heard about this today while in town.

2 trains collided.

Blimey, two train crashes in Belgium in one day. What are the odds of that happening.

(Or perhaps the odds of this post being a re-post are a bit higher )

The driver was to blame for the crash as he went through a red signal.
So basically he was responsible for 18 deaths and over 100 injuries.

I suppose, but I heard that on the news earlier...said the driver skipped a red signal, which lead to the trains having a head on crash...

No one said that for sure. It was speculation - which is never correct at such an early stage in the investigation.
And even if he did go through a red light, there may have been all sorts of reasons why this happened - not all of them directly related to a problem with the driver.
