Chaps,

Due to a problem with the electrics I need to lift the floor tiles and caulk board in the bathroom. Does anybody have any useful suggestions as to the easiest way to do this?

Thanks
Mike

Would it not be cheaper and lets disruptive to tackle this from underneath?

Padsaw, cut out section of plasterboard, sort electrics, re-fit board, and re-plaster.

Sparky reckoned it would be easier for him to work down on the job rather than working up. Plus we might need to rewire which would mean the floor coming up (AIUI).

Plus I have already broken half a tile with a hammer hehe

Spark would say that, he wants whats easiest for him. You on the other hand want the most cost effective and least disruptive solution.

Oh, you've already had your hammer out...

Or work from above if you've got access from teh loft... dropping new wires through plasterboard walls should be a lot easier than ripping up the tiles (and plywood)

But you'd need 8-foot-long arms to reach the bathroom floor spin

I think you should do it from next door with very long poles.
