I was on the bus from Waterloo to Holborn this morning and I noticed that my shoes felt odd...

Upon looking down I realised that I have managed to put one brown shoe and one black shoe on.

It took all of 5 minutes for my colleagues to notice and generally have a chuckle at my expense, I am taking it in good humour whilst sat here feeling a bit of a tt...

Anyone else done this or something stupid to make me feel less daft?

I wore through the seat of some suit trousers a few years ago without realising. Walking around the office with my boxers hanging out was "interesting".

I think I duct-taped the insides to hold them together for the rest of the day.

Picked the wrong suit jacket up as I ran out of the office the other day. Blue trousers, mid grey jacket at presentation I was giving. Didn't notice until it was pointed out to me. Removed jacket, froze in my shirtsleeves.

Foolish.

Me too! I was on an appointment in Middlesbrough at a cement works and I squatted down to fix something and my trousers split at the seam. Back in the manager's office, when he went off to get coffee, I filched his stapler and nipped to the bog to 'sew' my arse closed - got back to his office before he'd got the coffee.

Done the odd shoe thing too, but both black.

Dear reidy79,

one nearly and one definitely:
I got the car out of the garage one morning ready to go to work and realised I was still in slippers.
At work when I realised I had odd shoes. Nobody noticed as they were very similar. I have two pairs of black brogues, one well worn for work and one smart pair for, well, other times. I had picked one from each pair smile

regards,
Jet

I put my suit on once and realised at work the trousers were brown and my top was blue.

Tasteful.

Wasn't there a thread on this a while back where someone put a shoe and a trainer on.

Custard isn't strictly necessary, a tea bag or similar will do

I get around this by having 2 pairs of identical black Oxford caps for work. I'm not even sure any more which shoe is properly paired with which. wink
