Anyone recall a late 70s, early 80s TV advert, which comprised Nell Gwynne and King Charles.

King Charles says "I'm Bored Nell",

She responds "Have an Orange Charlie".

HELP. I need to know what it was for, and if anyone has a link to said ad..

I can't locate it by google techniques.

I'm pretty sure it's not Terrys Choco Orange.

Not a reliable source but from an interview with Rufus Sewell when he played Charles IIin a BBC costume drama;
'My idea of Charles II was based on those old Cadbury's chocolate Orange adverts, where he goes to the theatre with Nell Gwynn and you have these enormous bazooms with Nell G going: "Have an Orange, Charlie," and that was basically my idea of him.

He got the manufacturer wrong so ...

Mmm I think it was, but I was very young when it was on TV. I can find a vague reference to it here:

But, until then, Sewell admitted his view of Charles had been a comical one. 'My idea of Charles II was based on those old Cadbury's chocolate Orange adverts, where he goes to the theatre with Nell Gwynn and you have these enormous bazooms with Nell G going: "Have an Orange, Charlie," and that was basically my idea of him. But that's all changed now,' said Sewell, suitably seriously, lifting his wig and scratching his shaved head underneath.
Obviously it wasn't Cadbury though.

Oh woe is Nell from Camberwell, her fruits have lost their favour.
For Old Prince Charlie in the Tower has found a new kind of flavour.

Terrys Chocolate Lemon perhaps ?
I am sure they did make them a few years back ... but then lots of wine has been drunk since then so I may have just imagined it .

The 70's 80's advert with the words " have an orange Charlie " if it hasn't already been sorted ..... is from the biscuit " united" when they brought out a orange flaver

This poster appeared on bus shelters near where I worked in the 1970s or 80s. It didn't last log before the morality and offence taking squad had it banned.
