Having recently bought Mr Noble's beautiful black AM V8VR a couple of months ago, I really want to change the wheels to the new 5 spoke deigns as seen on the newer cars and N400. Whilst they are expensive, the way I am justifying to myself is that I would be able to sell my current 19" 11 spoke alloys so the net cost is not so bad!!

Has anyone else managed to sell their 19" alloys? What price did you get? - there are new ones on eBay for £1350 but no-one is buying... I guess the vast majority of V8V owners upgrade to the 19's meaning the market is just not there.

Oh the dilemna...any advice/experience gratefully received.

On a related topic, how many alloys (without tyres...) do you reckon you could fit in a V8VR?

PS - how do you change the title to correct my rubbish spelling??!!

Why not keep the original wheels for winter tyres

You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to keep them clean. In fact the space between the double spokes is so narrow that you need a tooth brush to clean them. Takes about 10 mins each wheel, even if their are not really dirty!

I recommend to keep the standard wheels!

The car just not get driven that much to justify winter tyres. Prefer to keep it in the garage if the weather is bad...

Don't say that - I really want them!! If you want the original 19's back, I will happily swap you!

Very generous but no thanks! My car (MY 2009) came with Sports Pack (so it had those wheels already) and I've got 10-spoke wheels from the DB 9 now - look better and EASIER to clean .... sorry!!

No worries - was only (semi) joking.

Anyway, I have bit the bullet and am getting the new 5 spokes fitted on Saturday morning!!

What do you reckon a set of 4 mint (never kerbed, etc), in pristine condition 19" 11 spoke AM V8V alloys are worth (no tyres - just alloys)

Does a £1k sound about right?
