330d remap smoking

Hi All, I live in sunny South Africa and have an E90 330d that i had remapped at 20 000 km's. The car didn't smoke any differently after the remap, but as the mileage is adding up there is more and more smoke. The car has now done 90 000 km's and i must admit to noticing an increase in the smoke levels(Diesel smoke)from around the 70 000 km mark. I have asked BMW to investigate and they say all is fine.

What could be causing this?

If in the EU your 330d shouldn't smoke whether remapped or not. My e90 330d has 52k miles and has been mapped for 20k with no sign of smoke under any condition. I assume that 330d's in south africa don't have diesel particle filters (law in eu) in which case you would expect more smoke from a remapped car due to the increase fuel consumption.
