Right ive managed to get the day off work and am about to book Oulton park on the 24th feb with Trackdays.co.uk. Anyone had good experiences with these? will i be able to hire a helmet on the day there? will i be able to get tuition there on the day? just 10 mins for £25 or something?

The facilities available on each of the events will be down to the track day organiser, NOT trackdays.co.uk as they are only a booking agent and are not directly responsible for what rules & conditions the organiser puts in place.

If you can find out who's organising the track day you want to attend, you might find it's cheaper to go direct - not saying that any particular day will/won't be cheaper, but you should check anyway, and take into account any difference in price for extras, e.g. helmet hire, instruction, passengers, garages, extra driver, etc.

The one you're talking about is run by easytrack.co.uk:
  • £99 for the track day
  • £20 to hire a helmet
  • £30 for a session of instruction
  • £30 for a garage
  • £20 for 2nd driver
  • £5 for each passenger
The only charges listed for this event on trackdays.co.uk are:
  • £99 for the track day
  • £50 for 2nd driver
  • £10 for each passenger
