Got home last night and my passort renewel has been sent back to me minus my passort
Looks like some light fingered bstid at the post office has opened it and nicked my passport.

Phoned the helpline and got some knob , no use at all , and telling me to fill out a form.

Just glad im not going away till later in the year , but angry and upset.

Who the hell are they employing these days

apparantly the post office take theft of mail very seriously. I'd be inclinded to believe them if I was getting all of my post.

Well , lets hope I do get compensation for it.

Other wise I might be on Crimewatch.

Had numerous things go missing in the past.
Debit cards failed to arrive - what use are they on new accounts? Need to be activated anyways, so one can't use them!

I wouldn't just report it to the Post Office, I'd report it to the police.

It's not like they've just stolen a postcard.

Nigerians. They also like mobile phones as there's a thriving black market for them in Nigeria.

Well apart from Dr Kimbe Kawala of the Northern Nigerian Development bank who has recently contacted me regarding the transfer of $10,000,000 TEN MILLION US DOLLARS, via my bank account to one in Switzerland.

This.

They target the Post Office so that they can steal greetings cars with money, phones and immigration papers.

A passport is worth a LOT of money.

I've prosecuted a few.

I have, but then I think I have only ever met one Nigerian but he was a jolly nice bloke.

I would report it to the police, and the post office investigations folks, and keep the envelope.

Reply and ask him if he can send you a cheque.

I'm guessing you might not be welcome in Dubai for a while.

Did a test at a house I was renting a room in a while back.

Sent out several bits of post, three of which were "birthday cards" fakes hinting at money inside, one was a boring bank letter lookalike, and the other was a standard letter.

They were sent from all areas of the UK.

Predictably, only 1 of the 3 birthday card fakes came in.

Complained to the post office, was told that there was nothing they could do. Local postie was replaced the next week.

Would have been nice if they could have at least followed it up telling me that they found the culprit, and everything else. Well they probably did, but the letter got "lost" in the post rolleyes
