How on earth did you manage to find such a bad spot!?! I thought it was very good, spots all over the place. There are 4 step high scaffolding stands all round the back of the circuit. You do have to be early for them. I the end I went for the bigger scaffolding and massive concrete area on the exit of parabolica...also pretty good for getting on the track for the podium!Do a search on here, I have done a few write ups. I honestly can't even begin to describe how bad Monza is for General Admission.
Don't get me wrong, it was worth it for breaking into the banked circuit area.
Unless you turn up on Saturday, and actually set up a camp by the fence there are only 2 viewing spots for general admission. All the Italians erect 10 foot tarpaulin fences around their areas, so you can't see anything. We even tried climbing a tree and got physically dragged out of it by a bunch of locals who'd "reserved" it.
Definately pay for a seat, OR do Spa or Silverstone, both are 1million times better IMO

We always do General Admission because we are tight / like to explore. Monza certainly isn't as good as Spa for general Admission Spa has to be the best on the calander without question.
There are the scaffold seating / standing areas if you get up early and reserve yourself a spot or its viewing through a fence. It wasn't too bad the year we went. And a LOT cheaper than grandstand seating.

True, Spa is far better with the elevation changes providing natural viewing points. I really cant see how you thought it was that bad. Where I was sitting you could have turned up 10min before the race and had a choice of spots around me! Just trying to add a balance to your strong view, dont want anyone to be put off as I thought it was fantastic. The atmosphere was like no other track ive been to. Hi All. We are going to Monza 2010 for the 3 days. Does anyone know if they have radio commentary in English that you can listen to on a portable radio like at Silverstone? Or do I need to get KangerooTV
