Quick holiday question

I'm currently looking for holiday destinations and Toyko has cropped up in conversation. I can get there for a reasonable price but I'm worried it wouldn't be the best place as a holiday destination.

I love big cities like Singapore, Hong Kong etc. For those who have been, would a 2 week stay in Japan been adviable or should I look elsewhere?
