Lotus Notes signature

Use HTML instead, create a signature file which you embed. That will allow you to include images.
So ?The only problem is as the jpeg is on my hard drive not on the web how do I find the reference for the image ?
Ok found the image on the web and typed it in using the above language and it does not work.I notice an option for HTML which opena a new window for you to browse for a file but only looks for bitmap, giff etc ??
Have tried to resave the jpeg as a bitmap or giff but no option given to do this ?

First off, right click on web image and save to your local/network drive.
Then, open up Word or similar, type in whatever your text signature is, paste in image, and save document as HTML.
Then select this from within Lotus Notes.
ETA: bear in mind that JPEG's in signatures dont always appear as you expect them to in different mail clients and on mobile devices, so for instance, if you mail someone from your Notes client to someone who has Outlook, Outlook will probably think that the image is an attachment and remove it from your signature.
Or this might happen going the other way - can't remember.
I'd steer clear of JPEG's in Sig's if you can - a simple, nicely formatted text signature looks far better and still serves its purpose IMO.

Indeed. I don't have a pic in my Notes sig for that very reason. It doesn't talk to Outlook very well.Edited by ccr32 on Wednesday 17th February 13:02

I am with you most of the way except for the line where you say 'type in whatever your text signature is' Im ashamed to say I dont know what that is.Then, open up Word or similar, type in whatever your text signature is, paste in image, and save document as HTML.

So you give out your signature to all and sundry. Even a bitmap signature can be used for illicit means.
"Signature" in this context doesn't mean the thing you sign cheques with. It's a chunk of text that gets automatically appended to every email you send.macp said:
but have tried to copy & paste the jpeg in which doesnt work ?
Why use a JPEG if it's just a chunk of text?We are just trying to embed an image into our signature so whenever we send an email to our clients and input the signature the image is displayed for them to see.
We are displaying our products at a show later this year and obviously want to remind & generate interest for customers to come along and see our stand.
We could manually try to attach the image to every email we send but you have to remember to do it.I have successfully found a way to manually attach an image but it does not appear to any users outside of the Lotus Notes group.
