How long does film last?
Discussion
Hopefully a relatively simple question.
I have in my loft (somewhere) a disposable camera from circa 2001 which has photos from my uni graduation ball, for whatever reason, i think i was skint at the tim, i have never got round to having it developed, so what are the chances that it is salvagable, with the pictures coming out if i get it developed?
The case of the camera is as far as i'm aware, intact.
Should i take it to Boots or a better quality developer?
Cheers
Andy

Anyone who does it in-house such as Boots, Jessops, snappy snaps should be able to develop it no problem, they may mention it being out of date and to cover their backs....might disclaim responsibility for any problems.
Film stock is very resilient providing it has not been exposed to light, damp or heat.
Get the images put on CD and post some samples here and gives us all a giggle

Hi, I worked in a photo process lab for abour 4 years. We had all ages of film come thru the door.
The film has been in the loft so that says to me that you'll be lucky with the film as it's been at a fairly constant cool temprature. The only problem you might get is a slight magenta (pink-ish) haze on the edge of the frame.
Good idea to get it put onto CD as has already been mentioned. This will give you more options if there is a pic you really want to keep.
Hope this helps.
