To give you an idea we have ha d a concrete slab with a steel built garage built. Unfortunately there is the slightest of gradients front to back so water is seeping under the roller door seal and running through the garage. Can I use a sander to angle from where the roller door touches the concrete so water from the door runs away from the garage instead of into it.

It might be easier to Kango out a channel and put a drainage channel in. Such as This.

For what your after...basicly, no. Why not stick a length of "D Trim" (upvc window trim)on the slab the width of the opening?.

Who poured the slab? Surely it is for them to put it right?

Thats the one, or wider if you wish. Use this http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Adhesives+Sealants...
or this http://www.screwfix.com/prods/22070 to bond to the slab, and if you need to finish off, run a bead of http://www.soudal.com/soudal.asp?o=Construction&am... job done.

If the concrete is still green then you could use one of these http://www.erento.co.uk/hire/tools-equipment/concr...
Can be used on any concrete but very easy and effective when green (still curing).

I'd avoid sanding it or cutting it in any way - if it goes wrong, the builder won't touch it.
