Hi Chaps,

Can anyone tell me if the clutch and trust bearing are standard SD1 as I want to order one from Rimmers.

Thrust bearing certainly is and a standard SD1 clutch would be OK for a 350i, unless you like drag racing. There are a few beefier options around now; one is rumoured to be the clutch from an LDV van... whistle

Looks like you have a 350i - so you should be OK with a Rimmers SD1 clutch.

Just make sure you get the correct bearing type .. you need to decide if you want the all plastic self centering newer style bearing or if you are lucky then the car will have the steel bearing holder and slide on bearing.. this is slightly more robust.

See this picture..

If you diy the clutch - then also make sure the release arm has no cracks .. if so replace it. Many replace it anyway ..

That's funny - when I last looked in my bellhousing it didn't have an Austin Powers medallion in there...
