Hi guys

Basically, this is the first . . . and most importantly - very rough draft of my media coursework. Before watching this, I have to warn you - my advert had to be centred around a narrative, and in order to make my narrative fit - It wasnt so appropriate to have 50 seconds of wheel spins and burnouts!!

Therefore, before watching - understand this: that in my advert, the cerb is being targetted at men aged between 35 & 50, they are faced with having to buy a sensible car and settle down. However the guy in the advert sees the cerb and . . . . watch it and see!

If you have anything that you want to say about it, than feel free - just please try and make sure that whatever you do say is contrsuctive and not just . . . 'i dont like it.' getmecoat

Remember - this is a very rough first draft and things can still be changed!

I hope you enjoy it

I've taken off the video now - I've got all the comments I need,
Thanks alot for all your comments - I'll post a final draft soon
with all the improvements.

Thanks again thumbup

Very good!!! Wish we had more adverts like this on TV !!!

Quick thought, how about showing the inside of the cerb also, after the inside of a boring car? I think the Cerb has of the greatest interiors of all time...

Good luck! Dean (aged 45)

Can you get someone to overdub the first section for you... And have a word with that front plate Sonny biggrin

Like the second half, perfect.

Rob, aged 45 and a little bit.

Not bad for a first time go thumbup

You need a bit less narrative when viewing the car's Just one word ' Economical.....Sensible.... Practical....
Cerb comes into view 'Not me!'

Also a view of the interior as the door is opened.
I don't get the 'Just 2 words....VTR Legend' What's that about? How about 'Be Different'

Who else got that little AJP tingle in the tummy when the loud pedal was pressed in the tunnel biggrin. ?

Perhaps you need an older voice in the first bit.
Even one that sounds a bit tired.
Also slow it down a touch and spread out the first bit, give us time to get in the thoughts.

I'd scramble the plate! Wooden tops will be after Dad!!

Should VTR be TVR?

ETA - Perhaps add a little "YEE HAAA" on the end!

hehe my dad will love you for saying that!!!

Yeh, I will definately blur/scramble the plates. Thanks. The only reason I put VTR, instead of TVR is because I can't use the actual name . . . coursework regulations shoot
Thanks alot

hahaaa I'm just going to blur out the number plate anyway
When you say overdub, is that because the volume levels arn't right, or it doesnt sound clear or anything?

I'll try and get a shot in, maybe with the door being opened with the button, and a focus on the beautiful dash infront of you including the wheel and the crazy instruments!!

Yeh I was thinking that, I'll try it tomorrow and see what it sounds and looks like with a bit less narrative . . . I wanted to make the narrative clear, but I also wanted to get more cerbera action, like the tunnel shot.

Thanks alot thumbup

IMO an older/deeper, possibly a smokers type voice would appeal to our age group more. We typically have deeper/gruffer voices.

It might be worth writing out the script as it's OK but could be improved on IMHO.

And never mind blurring the plate, it needs levelling wink

Lol, this is spooky.
I have 2 ideas for a Cerbera advert, and one of the scenes is set in this manner, almost.

Good effort fella. I like it.

Good effort, shame you don't hear the banshee roar of an AJP8 when the headlights flash, then the echoing pos and bangs whilst its in that multi story. as stated a shot of the interior would also help too.

cooky still 14 (ish)

Maybe you could go through the regular cars as practical, economic etc.. and then view the Cerb with a simple "WOW", the engine starts, lights flick on and the engine blips twice. Then into your Cerbera montage.

Good first ad. You have to work with what is available to you (ie. Your not going to get Cheryl Cole sprawled over the bonnet....unless you run her down). I know several of us were metioning girls and cool locations. A few tweaks on what you have and it'll be fantastic and also, is there a time limit on the ad because you could draw it out just a little. I know I'm being a bit of a git criticizing but I'm just trying to give honest input. I do like what you have so far. Look forward to hearing about the result you get.

PS. I had to make a video as part of my college presentation and mine was rubbish so you don't have to listen to me.

Great effort! thumbup

I think the first bit is a bit long/wordy. Maybe one word for each car - practical...economical...sensible - with a quick fade in and out as he walks past each.

And how about, at the very end, a shot of a miserable looking commuter in a golf sat at the traffic lights. Just one or two seconds would do it smile

also the VTR is a bit cryptic, can you not make it TV/R or something?

Not bad, but i'd drop the talking about other cars

"they say silence is golden"

<AJP roars past>

"we dissagree"

"TVR"
