Recent deveolpments (aquisition) at my current employment have now lead me to believe that there is a strong possibility that there may not be a future for my current roll (IT support manager) during the next 12 months. This roll is normally managed by head office in another country, outsourcing the smaller support rolls locally.

Being single with no dependants or ties, I have thought more and more about working in IT abroad either as 2nd/3rd line support or similar to my current roll. The reasons are many but mainly that I assume money is better and gives the chance of seeing a bit of the world.

Can anyone give me some good pointers on where to look for this type of work please. Looking at Jobserve and Monsters overseas sites haven't really offered anything suitable.

I was offered an IT role (Oracle) in Rome through the United Nations (FAO) - presumably the UN have offices all over the place so might be worth a look.

If you end up working in the Netherlands then I can let you know about all the joys and delights of the tax system here.

Found my role through Jobserve, however it's an engineering role and not an IT one.
