Roads around Edinburgh?

You live in the west side of Edinburgh, you want an hour long blast in the car, where do you go? You don't want to have to drive halfway round the bloody bypass or M8, any good driving road tips?

Head to Lanark area and then back in via Linlithgow and finally the Old edinburgh road that brings you out at Newbridge roundabout.
