Tant pis, méme pas pour les pièces.

just noticed a tvr trident venturer for sale in the tvr classic classified section i,ve seen about four before anybody know anything about the cars out of interest.
2 Mad you need to ignore the term TVR from any part of that advert. The car is a Trident Venturer. a sibling of a Trident Clipper. The sorry affair dates back to one of the previous times TVR went tits up and just before Mr Lilley and Mr Lilley senior bought the company. Bill last was a TVR dealer owed money as part of the collapse and he as a result helped himself to the design in a deal made with trevor frost.
Essentially he bought (but many including Martin Lilley Disagree) the rights to the trident design.
He then set up trident cars limited and produced the trident Clipper and later the venturer.
The Clipper was a V8 fibreglass copy of the TVR trident but built in a vastly inferior way onto an Austin healey chassis rip off. The venturer was even worse with the Placcy body stuck onto a TR6 chassis with a V6 essex inserted.
The difference between the 3 TVR Tridents and a trident clipper / venturer as such is massive.
The first 3 TVR's were aluminium bodied and built onto LWB Tuscan Chassis and beautiful in every way.
The latter were placcy bodied rip offs built on the worst and most antiquated cack available from the BL stable in the late 60's early 70's.
In my opinion the advert should be moved to the kit car section.
