It seems pretty obvious, but you never know.....apart from removing all the mounting bolts, is it just a case of undoing all the Allen head bolts on the 2 drive shafts, and then the shafts slide out?

Remove exhaust, undo prop shaft and support ( I cable tied mine ). Dont forget to remove the speedo sensor from the diff!
The bolts on my mounts were a bit of a tt to get to.
Yes and like you say undo the driveshafts.
I did mine on my garage floor and was pretty awkward getting it out as its quite heavy and it has to be twisted to 90 degrees to get out.
Putting it back in was harder, there is not much space under there when its just on axle stands.

Agree with the above. I think there is a guide somewhere if you do a search, although you may not need it?

As above + the higher you can get the car the easier it is to manouver the thing it is.

Support the diff and take the front mounting brackets off it before you try to drop it out of the car.

A lift or a pit will make it a lot easier.

And realistically you will need a helper.

CHeers Guys. Luckily the diff is in a chassis which has no body on it, makes it a lot simpler smile - even then I'm still suffering from cut and bruised knuckles and a snapped 10mm Allen key with 2 more bolts to go. It must be a nightmare job when it's still in the car - it's a heavy old lump isn't it!

It's worth going out and getting some of the socket-type allen keys that fit on to a 1/2" ratchet.

They make life a whole lot easier for certain Cerbera jobs.
