That's amazing.

I do never cease to be amazed by the sheer incompitence shown by those who are supposed to rule and govern us.

I don't consider him dangerous.

I don't have piles of cash or items worth stealing.

So I doubt I will ever get to meet him.

Piss up and brewery comes to mind with regards to the courts.

It's probably very easy to do if you've got the balls. Everyone assumes somebody else is watching the bad guys, so a bloke walking out the front door in a suit doesn't arouse any attention.

If Central Casting were looking for an evil ruthless villain to play the part of an evil ruthless pig-feeding villain in a brit-flic about ruthless cockney villains with pig farms they couldn't do much better than this chap.

Oh, that's just the one that gets reported. Similar things happen daily in our courts, their incompetence knows no bounds.

For a heist where they got away with £1.7mill. May as well have just let them get away with it, far cheaper.

"this trial is going to cost us millions, millions and millions, let's just give the airport back it's £1.75mill and call it a good un"

That's not really how things work though, is it? If you let these guys 'off' (i.e. no trial) then other people will follow in their footsteps and this type of crime would get out of control.

You can't only persue people where the financial impact of their single crime is lower than the costs of prosecution. However, that said, HOW THE fk can you waste £22m on 4 seperate trials?

The guy had been on bail for about 2 years and had 'complied with all his bail conditions' so he was allowed to leave court with no supervision to consult with his legal team

WTF
Why the "WTF"?

As you say, he'd been on bail for 2yrs so why should there have been any concern? I don't know what his reporting conditions during bail were, but presumeably he could have disappeared anytime in the past and it wouldn't have been noticed for a while and even then might not have been acted on with any urgency.
