Thinking of De-catting my speed six, I,m looking for few more pops & bangs like I had on my Tuscan(carbon Cans fitted). So has anyone done it? Any comments welcome.

Oh and I know I will have to change back to cats for a MOT but I don't think thats such a hassle(Is it)?.

Yes, though not much experiece with it, since I just got it back after a long-term engine-rebuild.

You will love the sound. Stationary and while in a modest driving mood you would just notice a slightly more aggressive race car soundtrack, but not much more disturbance for the neighbours as usual...until you rev it a bit more. Pops and bangs turn more into something like thunder. I like it.

Exchanging the cats is simple and can be easily done by yourself.

Regards,
Björn.

Thank you Bjorn,

I have decided to give them ago as I feel the Cerb is to quiet.
Did you get it re-chipped when you de-catted or can I avoid this additional expence.

Since I am in the running in period, I did not change the chip yet.

I have a remapped chip from TVR Power though. I guess it would be better to get a chip for decatted engines.

Regards,
Björn.

Hi Bjorn,

Set of de-catts on there way to me, so I'll wait and see what they sound like and how the car drives before I go and order the chip.

Thanks for you help.

Just let me know how you like it.

The SpeedSix sounds so much different in the Cerb compared to the Tuscan.

Have fun and prepare your neighbours...
