Any recommendations for some one localish to service and look over a 3200GT? Anything that I should be looking out for, what are their weaknesses?

Saw a black one with anthracite wheels yesterday, looked superb!

I should imagine Maranello would cost an arm and a leg if you took one to them to be serviced?

You could try AlfaAid in Maidenhead - they are obviously Alfa Specialists, but they have the odd Maser in for work and the owner has a Ferrari 355 which is maintained by them, so they know what they are doing.

As above Alfaaid are good, speak to Adrian who runs the place (and the 355 which will give you an idea of their rates hehe), he is a really good guy. If he can't/won't do it he'll at the very least be able to point you in the direction of someone he knows who can I would guess.

As for weaknesses, I hear they are pretty fragile all over and lots of talk the clutch life being woeful - certainly talk of running costs put me off as was looking at them when I bought the Cerb... opted for the TVR as looked the safer bet hehe TBH as with a lot of things it's probably a lot of internet paranoia.

They are epic epic money pits, best avoided. Any service you escape with a bill of less than 4 figs is a blessing, 5 figs not unusual

Think of these as a woman,

Nice arse, beuatiful curves, throw in the italian temperment and you gonna be spending allot, gonna be expensive.

I looked at these and with all the reading i reached the conclusion as Charlie said Big Bills with alarming regularity.

Beautiful car though

Thanks Dave.

Just found out its 1 of 75 of these too.

Assetto Corsa is the end of line 3200. Assetto Corsa means 'racing set
up' in Italian. There were 75 made for the UK and I believe 250 were made in total for all markets. The Assetto Corsa has a number of enhancements to the standard 3200 model including:

- Uprated braking system offering better feel and stopping power that is visually topped off by striking red Maserati calipers
- electronic suspension that adjusts to 14 different settings depending on conditions and driving style.
- suspension is 15mm lower and has stiffer springs
- a sport mode that changes gear ratios and suspension settings
- a full black leather interior with red piping
- beautiful graphite coloured wheels
- carbon fibre and leather interior centre console.
- drilled alloy racing pedals
- Special sill plates engraved with 'Assetto Corsa'

Numbered 40/75 smile
