Hey all,

Random, hopefully quick question. If you put in an order for something like a 458 Italia, spec'd to about £175k what deposit do they ask for? 10%? £10k? Anybody know what a "good" deposit to pay is?

Also if the waiting list is 2+ years, how long before delivery do they want it, on order? Or are cars like this easy enough to sell that they are pretty happy whatever happens?

Thanks,

Tim

You pay your deposit now when you put your name down. I paid 10k about a year ago, apparently some dealers ask for 20k

Depends on the dealer, officially for V8's it's £10k to go on the list and £10k when you spec the Car and £20k respectively for a V12. Some Dealers are quoting a £20k initial deposit that's apparently not refundable

i am aware of pistonhead's naming and shaming rules
i am obviously not reffering to graypaul nottingham here
some dealers do ask for a larger deposit for a shorter wait
