This is nice, I get to decide what competitions we run! Some ideas:

1. Concourse (shall I give you the prize now Andy?)
2. Rat car (don't be ashamed, bring it along! The more filler the better)
3. Wedge that doesn't look like a wedge (fake griff body styling, Scottish castle, that sort of thing. 2 rules - it has to move, and be registered as a Wedge)
4. Loudest Wedge (who's bringing a decibel meter?)
5. A Raffle, as usual.

I spose a run out in the afternoon is mandatory, the route a few years ago was quite nice because it doubled back and crossed over so you could see all the cars coming the other way.

Got any good ideas - now's yer chance!

"Sound man"! You are hereby appointed noise judge. Do you have a clipboard too?

Do the lot Adam - it just adds to the fun

Maybe just change No 2 to "Furthest Travelled to BBWF"
as a more prestigious prize to win

I was thinking about a furthest travelled too - might tempt the dutchies over again if we make the prize some "paraphinalia" ;^)

The rat car idea is because there must be people who would come but might think their car isn't "up to scratch", I'm no snob myself, my first wedge ended up pretty ratty with some touch-ups in "appliance white"! It still drove well, though...

A country side scatter ...

I liked the route that Gandalf organised a few years back .. it was so complicated that wedges were scattered from Ettington to Glasgow via Cardiff .. hehe

Yeah I think I found Gandalf's map - here it is...

Not a bad route, eh?

Seriously, I have a few ideas for the route, the main one being that a few discreet markers be placed along it so you don't have so much hassle trying to follow the map, just look for the marker at each junction.

heheI also remember the great and easy route I souted out for the second BBWF .. all was going great until I turned right at a round-a-bout when I should have gone straing one .. and under the brigde .. talk about chaos.. half followed me (lost) and other did the correct route. I actually thing the chaos made it more fun silly

We all laughted about it in the bar after anyway smile

I have an idea for BBWF daytime - a "Shooting Competition" - but with a difference.

We have some paper darts made, and take turns to 'shoot' them out of the exhaust at a target.

Winner is nearest the bull. Tell me if it sounds like a laugh or I'm just barking mad....
