Alex rims on a road bike vs Ultegra Wheelset

I'm very close to buying this;

and the one part of the spec which I feel is letting it down is the wheelset, specifically the Alex rims. What little info I've found on the interweb is sketchy to say the least.

I have the option to purchase an Ultegra wheelset at a ridiculous price, in fact after selling the Alex/Ultegra wheelset that comes with the bike I may even be in the red.

Will the Ultegra wheelset be a massive improvement? If nothing else they look a lot better than the slightly naff Alex rims IMO.

Why that frame?

Ultegra wheels are a very good allrounder, but see if you can get a deal on some RS80 wheels.

I'd already chosen that bike and the deal with the wheelset is the icing on the cake so to speak.

I shall enquire about the RS80s, as it stands it will be the alu Ultegras that I will be getting.
