Discussion
I am currently at college 3 days a week studying mechanics and am jobless.
I have found a reasonable sounding job advertised that is working in a warehouse £6 an hour approx 16 hours so £96 earnings a week.
But (and this is a big but for me) it is Saturday and Sunday work.
"Big deal you only do 3 days a week at college" you may be thinking (and I can see why) but virtually every race meeting is on Saturday / Sunday with the rare exception on a Friday and possibly even running over to Monday.
This is the only thing really putting me off, during in race season I attend as many race meetings possible and (sad as it is to admit) makes up most of the time I go out.
I am by no means short of money, I have inheritance in the bank although I am rarely allowed to touch this and also get £20 pocket money every 2 weeks (pocket money sounds childish doesn’t it?).
So what would you do in my shoes?
Have the extra cash or have the time to attend race meetings etc on the weekends (when most stuff happens)

How about a bar job midweek nights?
I'm 16, 17 in June so doubt bar work is an option.Just checked Brands and Snetterdon websites and BTCC is only weekends!
Dont know if I could manage without BTCC...
Edit:
Then again if I miss out on these events until I find another job, when I'm 17 I could treat myself to trackdays instead...

get a job as a waiter during weekday evenings (restaurant/local hotel etc) or shelf stacking at a local supermarket both would probably give you the option to pick up extra hours as & when you can to earn some more.
I had a zero hours contract waitressing at the local hotel from 16 for conferences & weddings etc so worked as much as possible when i could & didn't have any commitment when I couldn't

Easier said than done finding a job to fit the hours during the week. As my college hours are Mon 10-3, Wednesday 9-5 and Thursday 9-5 it has this far seemed impossible to find a job to fit during the week.
I would happily shelf stack but as much as I’m probably being my worst enemy, I don’t think I could work in restaurant
(although beggars can’t be choosers)
I'm thinking maybe apply for this and if I do get it just keep looking for something else?
