I have several CD's worth of backup data I'm restoring (well, using windows explorer to copy to HDD).
I want to get on with other things around the house while each disc copies, so I want windows to play a notification sound when copying each set of files is complete.

i.e. I press CTRL C then CTRL V then it whizzes for a bit copying... well I want to know when it's done so I can switch discs.

Is the possible? If so, how please!
(PS - Using windows 7 ultimate.)

Cheers

I don't think that's possible, pretty sure there's not an event to signify 'copying complete' that you can assign a sound to, but happy to be corrected.

You could probably create a batch file to do the copy, and then play a .wav file when it's completed, but it's a bit messy.

robocopy would be better than copy http://www.google.com/search?q=robocopy&rls=co...
