That is the Farrel Preston 200-5-037 car. Been for sale a good while.

Pretty heavily moddied, but nicely done. You expect alot more power from an SBF that size though.

Edelbrock Victor Jr is too restrictive to support 340CI @ 7000RPM. That's why Edelbrock make the Victor. Fair height difference though. Only 10:1 CR for a track only car? Not only that but why would it need more power if it's already the "World's Fastest Griffith?" laugh Stupid claim but it looks like crazy fun to drive.

Indeed. there are some very trick heads about now. My engine builder made 105 per litre on 91 octane on his last Engine Masters engine wink

As far as I now, Steve Watton's ex-one has to be the Fastest (pure track car) racer so far.

A guy bought it who had never raced before! Apparently he scared himself silly testing it and stev thinks it is just tuck up in his garage now!!! Sad (at least it is still around), guy should have started with alot slower / tamer device!

Oh and the top few fia Griffs would run away and hide in the far distance if up against the 200 for sale (they just do things differently in the US), it is still nice, just not as nice (and bonkers) as it could be wink

Steve is back out in a freshly built Lotus Elan this year, btw in the TSCC (Thoroughbreds).

Mmmm seems a shame to let a car like that lay dormant because the owner's not up for using it. I heard Steve was putting together an Elan so if it's to the same standard as the Griff it will be a great car - definite class winner but overall wins a stretch?

How's your Griff build coming on - must be time for an update?

Maybe it is just the World's Fastest sub-$80K Giffith. Anyway, a clean car.
