Washer pipe problem

Does anyone have any trick to reconnect the screen washer pipes. Mine on the drivers side has snapped at the little plastic fixing and fallen back in behind the grill mesh. I have disconnected the pump as I'm worried this will pump water in behind the dash as the hose appears to come from there.
Ive tried poking around in the resulting hole to locate the pipe but it appears to have dropped away.

Anyone any ideas how to fix this??????

There was another thread on this very topic recently, just tried searching but the search function is down for maintenance.

Rather irritatingly I can't for the life of me remember the out come

I seem to remember someone suggested drilling a hole somewhere underneath to get to it, but that could have been concerning a completely different topic !! Not much help - sorry.

Seem to remember that there was a chance of some access if bonnet catch were removed. Might even be able to cut a small hole in that area?

Had exactly the same problem a few years back.

You will have to cut an 'access port' to get at it properly. I used a thin dremel disc to cut a rectangular hole, retained the cut out portion, and used black silicon sealant to keep in place once finished.

If the washer pipe has drop into the cavity below the screen then;
Some dealers/garages used to make a hole with a cover plate in the bulkhead behind the dash to gain access.
Some used to drill a 1 inch hole in the bulkhead in the engine bay, and fill it with a 1 inch rubber grommet, if you look/feel the bulkhead as it slopes away under the bonnet catch you may be lucky and find a rubber grommet from a previuos owner. If not then do as I did as drill a 1 inch hole with a wood drill in the bulkhead directly below the washer pipe outlet position in a suitable location. 1 inch as its an adequate size for access with a coat hanger wire and its easy to get 1 inch rubber grommets to fill the hole after.
I have one under each wiper location (had a slight accident fitting the leven wipers a few years ago

As HedgeHopper says, some people put the hole behind the bonnet catch plate.
