making a huge dry wipe board

i fancy turning 1/2 of one wall into a dry wipe board ( ie i can write on it with a non permanent pen and rub it off again ) so i can plan and plot world domination.

any ideas of the cheapest way of doing this? anyone done it?

Foamex covered in gloss laminate and then mounted onto the wall.
