I picked up my iPhone this evening and found it was requesting a reactivation of the phone. I didn't think too much of this at the time but after doing so on the PC, I also found all the data had managed to wipe itself from my phone! frown

Everything was gone and it was like I was using a brand new iPhone!!!

I'm currently performing a restore and since I use Google Apps, nothing is lost so no problem really, but has anyone else had the same problem before? I can't find any references to it on Google....

OK! Mystery solved! My little sister-in-law entered the wrong PIN too many times and I have the security feature to erase all contents if this happens!!!

She suddenly burst into tears and confessed to my wifey after initially denying she'd done anything!

All is good in the end! hehe

If you have mobileme, you can also do a remote wipe, should the phone be nicked, as well as locate it, if someone has it connected to wifi, or whatever. It's pretty accurate, to a 50m radius when I checked it.
