Hello Ford folk,
I know this is one of those questions that would be best answered by contacting a dealer, but does anyone have any idea how much it should cost to have a new key cut for a 2001 Focus and to have a new security key made for the Zetec alloys? I've got the keycode for the alloys one and realise I'll need to show a dealer the V5 for the ignition key, but was just wondering if anyone here might have an idea of how much these things cost.
Cheers,
J

It depends if how many keys you all ready have for the car as to how much it will cost for a key.
You need two original working keys to be able to program a key to the immobiliser etc. If you only have one key or a existing key is a 'clone' you will need to book the car into the Fraud Stealer for the keys to be programmed to the car which will cost around £150. You can get a locksmith to clone your existing key which will be cheaper but you'll never be able to program new ones from a clone.
If you already have two original keys you can program up to two more yourself. The instructions how to do it are in the handbook. A new key will cost about £10 for a standard one or about £45 for a remote type key.
As regards the wheel lock key just go to the Ford parts dept with the code and they can order you one.
