10.40 am: Left Damo's house and headed to Sainsbury Ringwood via Longham, Ferndown and the like. Im following Damo as he planned it and then.......he pulls into Sainsbury 'Ferndown', cruising past 8-10 MX5's obviously holding a meet. 'Why are we stopping here?' i ask. Bearing in mind we were the only PH members in the car park, i made the point that we were not at Sainsbury Ringwood.

Leaving Damo there, just in case someone turned up......haha! i headed off toward Ringwood where funnily enough there were parked.....2 x Scoobies, a TVR Tamora, a Nissan 370 and a VW 'Rado. A quick call to damo confirms that no one was in Ferndown.

Got chatting to the guys and the phone rings again....'hi, Eddie where are you?'. Looking across the car park i see Damo in the black Alfa parked beside an empty, green Mustang that had nothing to do with the PH meet. Try again mate!

11.15am and we are all ready to go. Following Damo out of the car park, or so i thought.......somehow he ends up making an illegal right turn (and a bloody tight one too) back into the car park, leaving 6 cars in line with no space to wait for him or possibility of returning to formation. Monty Pythons Flying Circus couldnt have dreampt this up i tell you. Around the bazarrs we went until eventually we got onto the A31 toward Poole.

Coming off the A31 and making a right turn onto some minor country road Damo stops up ahead to wait for the stragglers. He gets out of the Alfa, and just as the traffic begins to queue behind us a lovely traffic cop pulls up along side him and asks what the fk is going on. 'Im waiting for my friends', he replies. 'Are they your friends?' asks PC plod. 'Yes officer'. 'Where are you off to then?'.

Now what Damo should have said was.......anything other than 'We are heading to Drucillas'. NNNNNOOOOOOOO!!! Job done and probable police car following later we end up at Drucillas.

On to the meet:

Bloody good turn out considering the weather. No point washing the cars this weekend though as the car park was a mix of mud and marsh. On show there were:

My RS6
2 x Scoobies
Tiger kit car
Exige
Elise
VX220
VXR8
VW Rado
2 x TVR Tamora's
TVR V8 (i think)
RX-7
Nissan Fairlady
Nissan 370
Jag S type R
Jag smokemobile soveriegn type.
Merc E220
Alfa GTV????
Renault Megane (F1 sport model of some sort - please correct me)
Mini race / track car.

Possibly 1 or 2 more that i cant remember.

It was actually a very good meet and hats off to Damo for organising it. The shananagins at the begining actually made the whole rain soaked drive over there all the more interesting, if a little different. Everyone at the meet was very friendly and sensible (excusing the doughnuts by a couple of members as we arrived...lol) The pub was great too, very accomodating, they even gave us our own room which we nearly filled. Fit bar staff helped too, lol.

Thanks for the conversation peeps, hope to see you all at the next meet whether local or far away. Looking forward to seeing any pics too. Please post below.

'Twas a very nice little meet. I got the first opportunity to clear my GB270s lungs, and it didn't dissapoint. If anyone is thinking of going to drucillas for a bite to eat, I'd reccomend the 1/2 pound burger with brie and bacon, it was very nice.It was Good to see so many motors turning out despite the slightly dodgy weather. thumbup

Great little turnout despite the shocking British weather! Cant believe I actually spent/wasted half of my saturday cleaning the car, nothing a quick jetwash didnt sort on the way home mind biggrin

Good to catch up with some local PH chums and stretch the cars legs a bit!

Who would have thought leaving a Sainsburys car park in convoy would prove such a challenge rofl

Hey, who would of known a sainsburys car park was so tricky to get out of lol.

Either way thanks everyone for coming out was a great day, shame the weather got the better of us but we wouldn't be British if we couldn't moan about the weather lol.
