Need help remembering a film (seen on TV about 20-25 years ago)

Americans build a supercomputer that is put in control of their weapons.
It starts to go wrong so they try to unplug it.
Computer gets upset and threatens to launch missiles.
They reattach it to mains.
Computer learns that the Russians have a similar computer and demands to be connected.
The Americans think they will know what the computers are upto by listening in. The computers invent their own language based on maths.
(Can't remember how the film ended)

What was the film where the supercomputer takes control, and then somehow manages to secure some woman in her home, then develop technology to impregnate her, and she gives birth to the supercomputer itself as some sort of man/machine/computer baby.

I asked this one before on another "What film" thread, so I'll try again here.

All I remember is the opening title, and can't remember the film they belong to.

A woman is driving a sports car along the road, goes to over take a truck, clips it, spins out and then the truck crashes into her car, killing her.

She's blonde, I think, and the car was a convertible

I'm sure it turns out that the woman is the lead characters mother, or wife, or something?

Help!

The film the OP is on about, was that in a series of films that BBC2 used to show at ~6pm?
SciFi films.
Went on for a good while (the season of sci fi films)
