Goodbye from Morgan's Mutterings (for now) and my Griff

Unfortunately I am being made redundant (again) and due to the fact that I need my Merc to carry my elderly parents around and I can't afford to run two cars, my Griff has had to go. It was a sad day yesterday when I dropped her off at David Gerald's.
My G10TVR registration is also up for sale (on Pistonheads of course) as is my brothers old reg number (H6TVR).
If I can get another job (which obviously isn't that easy as we get older and I celebrate my 60th birthday next month) I may well join the ranks of TVR owners again, but in the meantime I wanted to say a big thank you for all your friendhsip over the years and especially Warwickshire and West Midlands region of the TVR car club and for those people who have said nice things about Morgan's Mutterings over the years.
I wish you all well, good health and a great summer to enjoy your Tiv's

Dave, sorry to hear that - used to love the Mutterings, about all I miss from Sprint since not rejoining the club. I wish you well and good luck for the future. Just a thought, could you make an income out of muttering?
I always thought your mutterings were well researched, well written and I looked forward to reading them. I am sure if you applied the same formula to other subjects then there could be a bit of freelancing going on!

Thanks for all the good wishes and kind comments. As for making a living out of "muttering" - it would be a difficult road to travel but I would love to - maybe I should start with muttering abou the company I work for and what they are dong - or maybe I will wait until I have the redundancy cheque in my hand as I have been here for nearly 100 years so I don't want to upset them before I wave goodbye with cheque held between 3 of my fingers (leaving a couple to wave with of course!!)
I probably will go self employed as a business consultant and copywriter - which I think means you can copy what someone else has written - so maybe Muttering will stil be a part of my life in the future!

Now Richard Porter is a script writer on Top Gear and writes all manner of stuff. Surely in this day of the Interweb, Facespace and Twogging you could publish something once a week and build a following. For a start write a piece and put it up on Pistonheads. Not that different to Nick Mason's piece in Octane once a month, I used to look forward to you mutterings so come on , you know you can do it! Anyway, good luck with the job hunt.
