Mass effect 1..... bit easy no?
Discussion
I just went through mass effect 1 in 11-13 hours on level 37 and it seemed a bit to easy for my liking.
In the final battle I didnt even get hit.... It was on the default setting so now Im going through it again to bump up my character and visit all the unknown worlds, tho this time the enemies seem a little harder, but not much that a couple of the abilities (throw, lift, warp, etc) cant deal with...
bit disappointed, but now off to find the super rated armour and it would be so much better if my character could actually train to use an assault rifle instead of only a pistol.
So now if I rank up can I take my bod to mass effect 2 or do I only take his characteristics and not his abilities?

I've just started ME1, having finished ME2 [yes, backward, I know :P] and I thought the opening 'bit' was tougher than ME2.
Still, there's a an insane level if you think normal is lemon squeezy.
The opening bit on the train going to the other hub, defusing bombs, etc...Still, there's a an insane level if you think normal is lemon squeezy.
Second time round I didnt even need to hide from enemies... just waltzed up the middle, but does help that when I took on the old crew again I had 57 points to play with on them and my assault rifles do 240+ of damage.
The only thing I hate is the mako and its dodgy handling, that and I cant pick up an assault rifle and use it.
Don't forget, on the default level only bosses are scaled to you - 37 is quite a high level to do Saren at, I was only 20 something the first time I played it.
If you do it on the hardest level, everything is scaled up in relation to your level and it makes it pretty hard. Also I find the order you do the missions in effects their difficulty quite a lot, and if you play as a soldier that's probably the hardest - the first time I played through I had no biotics in my team for the end game fight with Saren, so was reliant on just trying to shoot him. That's quite a hard thing to do as he only bloody sits still to shoot rockets at you.

Found the turret section at the end the most difficult as team members kept dying all the time...If you do it on the hardest level, everything is scaled up in relation to your level and it makes it pretty hard. Most bosses are just crap... The first time against Saren, he lasted approximately 10-15 seconds before the cut scene and the trying to throw me off the edge...
Lift... Warp... throw... rinse and repeat with another character and its bye bye saren...

All you carry over to ME2 is your choices and look of your character (look can be changed). You start from scratch again, so can pick a new class.
You'll find it will play out in subtle different ways if certain characters died, whether you were good or bad etc.
...and a chunk of cash/resources as a bonus depending on how high a level character you import. You'll find it will play out in subtle different ways if certain characters died, whether you were good or bad etc.

I think you get a nice starter amount of cash, and certain decisions will effect play. You'll find it will play out in subtle different ways if certain characters died, whether you were good or bad etc.
So, I'd start as level 1 tho, even after a ME1/ME2 import?
