Looking for a decent restaurant for a corporate event (around 20 people) in amsterdam.
Not too far from the centre and nice.

Had one suggestion so far: Momo.

Any more?

thanks

Beddingtons

Terrific restaurant, not too pricey, not too far from town.

The duck is fabulous.

Failing that, try the Supperclub (www.supperclub.com).

A bit international nowadays, but you'll get the real (ie truly indifferent service) experience in the 'Dam.

Great for larger groups, and worth it for the music, if nothing else.

k

They are alright, but they are a chain restaurant and nothing individual - id rate them akin to TGI Fridays.
Behave. They're far, far better than TGI Fridays. The steaks are flame grilled in front of you for one thing as opposed to microwaved in the back.

You're right though, they are a chain - certainly one of the better ones.

We had a rather nice gathering on the Odessa.

Cocktail / Bar / Good Food... all on a boat. I think there was a dance floor downstairs too.

Thanks for the tip escargot, but I am with euroboy's sentiment on this. The food is nice enough, sure but it is very "chainy". Don't want to come accross as being ungrateful though

I work a lot in Amsterdam and to be honest I would give 15 a miss, plus it is not that close to the center.

If you are looking to impress for a corporate event then I would take them somewhere like this:
http://www.thefiveflies.com/nl/index.asp?

They do modern traditional Dutch food if there is such a thing? Very pleasant old world style decor, and walkable from Dam square.

think i got the restaurant related issues licked now, onto the next question:
a club venue. I was going to go to Jimmy Woos but they will be closed that night.
Anyone been to The Mansion? Is it any good for a mid week drink/dance/pickup?
