Steam generator iron

Anyone had a Simac Stirella iron? Mine started steaming continously and eventually tripped the house circuit breaker, can't get into the thing and website only Italian. I'm reluctant to bin it as it cost £140!

If total failure on that score, then can anyone recommend a replacement?

P.S.As this is Pistonheads I'd just like to confirm I don't actually use it......well, not often but OH needs it sorting or will moan more than usual.

We have had a Tefal for a number of years , now on the second .

Wife seems very happy with it , also helps her to get her work done quicker so she can spend more time in the kitchen .
