Just driving along a nice, quiet country road when my sat nice shouts at me, "In 300 yards turn left" at a stupidly loud volume!

It catches me out all the time, and worse when I'm on the phone as I physically can't turn it down or off.

In the settings menu, its on the lowest, when she speaks I can turn her down with the radio volume knob, but when she comes back on shes just as loud. Its got that bad I'm currently using my birds Tom Tom.

Can anyone help making this stupid women whisper rather than shout to me?

Thanks

When she is actually speaking is when you need to adjust the volume, i usually do mine on the steering wheel.

There is a setting in a "hidden" menu as I had the same thing on my E46 when I got it last year - I had similar "cr@pping myself" moments. I will try and dig out how it's done and post it.

No one wants to hear

"TURN LEFT" at 100 decibels - not a pleasant experience.
