As per this thread!

Does this mean i am no longer the black sheep of the group?
Now when(if) this car goes ahead, i have put a highly tuned version of the latest CURRENT TVR engine in!

Na, you're still an outcast! ;-)
Seriously, worried about this 'cease and desist' issue on parts.
NS obviously doesn't want 'real' TVR engines and their associated problems, so to what extent are the parts suppliers being leaned on and what's affected?

I wouldn't be if I were you. Smelly has no means to ban the parts supply, only to threaten.Seriously, worried about this 'cease and desist' issue on parts.

Other than that Euro cars parts would be sued by about five different manufacturers.
The only thing that would change is that you couldn't advertise as 'TVR', TVRPARTS, TVRDIRECT, etc.

I think it might work ! 'Better' engine and maybe some safety stuff will pull in new punters. But I think that the quality that people associate with German cars might help TVR bury its reliablility reputation quite quickly (although they would need to actually deliver on that promise).

I have no personal experience, but I hear that the Weissman isn't that well screwed together with the 'glass' work compared to late '80s TVR!So don't expect these cars to be perfect just because they're built in the fatherland!

You are such a trend setter !
Those snow washed jeans and jean jacket that you wear will also come into fashion soon!
But anyway - do we really think this TVR launch will happen ?
well lets be honest can you afford to by TVR, errr no so why not stand aside and give them a break, I would like to see a british chap buy the company but in this day and age that going to take shed loads of cash at least this time its using a sensible choice of engine and yep it might fail, but then it might work, I would rather see some positive announcement anything is better than nothing. After all Triumph motorcyles remerged from the dust. Those snow washed jeans and jean jacket that you wear will also come into fashion soon!

I hope it does work out and in fact I think that it will work out. I think this is a good plan for TVR and judging by the comments on the main thread it hasnt gone down that badly (which I take as a positive).

Sorry if i sounded a bit strong but its just when you read some posts just knocking any annoucement........
I think there's a lot of bitterness, and quite rightly so, with any anouncment from NS.No, I probably couldn't afford to buy a 'New' TVR, but the question is, would I want to? Probably not, given the option I'd buy a 2nd had Sagaris, a griff for the noise and keep my beloved Cerb' and still have change from £70K!
TVRs always were affordable supercars, NS is aiming at a different market, lets not forget he alienated all his current owners.
I hope that TVR makes it, but I'm under no illusion it has about as much link to us as the Issigonis Mini does to the BMW varient.

I have it on good authority by my son's girlfriend who is studying fashion and has just come back from the Paris fashion show, that denim is the latest trend. Time to get out your denim shirts and jackets
