H reg S3 in green
She’s been standing outside untouched for about 2+ yrs now, got a replacement Chassis off here which had been reworked, galved and then powder coated, loads of new parts fitted, new Gaz shocks, new stainless exhaust manifolds, all hoses replaced with blue silicone ones, new complete clutch, new slave cylinder, new clutch and brake lines, new handbrake cable, new offside trailing arm, all new ball joints, new poly bushes except for trailing arms, engine was fine before body lift as was gearbox.
Body is now sat loosely on chassis although will have to be lifted at some stage as rear chassis brackets need slight mod, cosmetically challenged and will need a respray, interior not to bad but leather to centre console is torn.
Have been unable to do much with her due to ongoing health problems and have probably hung on to her for to long hoping to get her back on the road, now is the time to finally admit defeat and hope that someone will finish the old girl
Not got an idea what it's worth but would prefer not to break it.

If you want to get it shifted set a reasonable reserve and stick it on ebay, at least if it doesn't meet the reserve it may give you an idea where the market is at.
Don't be afraid to relist it if it doesn't sell - I've seen cars for sale listed a few times before they sell, its just finding the right buyer.
Give it a good wash and polish even if its a bit tatty it will work wonders, and spruce up the interior as best you can then take lots of photos.
Treating the hood with Renovo or something will also make it look loads better if its looking past its best, and also pay attention to the wheels which will make a big difference if they have a bit if shine to them.
I've sold 3 cars on ebay and all were fairly painless sales, and in every case I took an offer before the auction finished and cancelled the auction - no doubt someone will send the ebay police round now

I wouldn't worry about the ebay police Chris. I 'won' a cerbie on it but became doubtful. I traced the 'account holder' and found it to be fake, I traced the address, banking details and handed it to ebay investigations on a plate - not a surprise I've dealt with fraud for many years (I hadn't parted with anything, me being me, but others may have done).
The car? It looked a bargain, but then the clutch went, appaerntly, then a bit of a fire, yeah right
A clear case of a false id. They were not the least interested even though the work had been done for them.

If there's a hardtop around then couldn't a decent Fibreglass company take a splash mould off it and manufacture new ones???is around I would be interested in a discussion about that.

The question is is there a hardtop anywhere? one at least existed
does a mold already exist? is there one at the back of someones garage?
If there is a hardtop about, who made it, was it a factory option
or a special one off, does any one on here know?
If we had as set of photos and some size we could explore costs
Certainly a well fitted hard top would go a long way to keeping
an S dry in the wet months
