Just taken delivery of my new TVR power chip to go with the short induction tubes, are they easy to fit is the next question?
In a word - yes.Just be careful that you:
a) Earth yourself
b) don't bend the pins either removing or installing the chip.
So what magic does the TVR Power chip promise, I'm very sceptical of 'ling distance' tuning, no substitute for live tuning IMHO.

No instructions with it?
They are easy - remove the carpet section in passenger footwell.
Unplug ECU 'box'.
Take inside the house !
Unscrew the lid of the box.
Remove existing chip (pulls out).
CAREFULLY push in new chip but being careful not to bend pins.
Reassemble, refit.
Job done.
Ok all nice and simple, how is the ECU held into the car, I seem to remember one person mentioned velcro? They are easy - remove the carpet section in passenger footwell.

380 at the fly wheel, so assuming 15% loss through transmission 430+
I thinnk they may be a little optomistic but we will see, will stick it on the rolling road some time this year and see.
380bhp at the fly is about 310 at the wheels.I thinnk they may be a little optomistic but we will see, will stick it on the rolling road some time this year and see.
Jules.
I was getting really confused

Yep, they said the last car they used the very same map on was 380 at the back wheels and that was about average, some slightly better and some slightly worse but all around that which is why the sell that as the generic map.
I will get it put on the rolling road some time but can't make it to Chatsworth which is a shame, what with Le Mans Classic plus a couple of other lads weekend it would not be fair on the OH leaving her with kids and dog for another weekend.

I think you may have mis quoted them. There is no way a generic chip will give you 380bhp at the wheels. If it's just a fueling chip to accomodate short Whirlwind type induction then you may see around 380bhp at the flywheel. A bespoke map normally gives around 390bhp along with short induction, but will also be better mapped throughout the rest of the range.
Jules.
More dumb questions I am afraid.
Have the ECU out now and noticed a 2 pin plug with wires coming out of the ECU plug but it was just floating, should it be connected to any thing?
Chip will be fitted this morning with a bit of luck, if I can find any allen keys at work, if not this afternoon after a trip to Halfords
