The cavity wall insulation people have been and gone. Our home should be warmer!

But we've now no TV signal. We've got bad quality analogue (1,2,3,4), but no freeview, only BBC 1 and 2.

Going into the Freeview menu, it shoes that there is signal, although low (19) and a bit error level of 10.

Have they caught a cable somewhere?

Could it be that your signal gets routed through a VCR or some other device first and that device is either unplugged or gone dead? You would be suprised how many times that happens without noticing wink

Plug the aerial lead directly into the TV and see what you get, if its bad then you need to follow the lead back and check all connections are good (Aerial plug fitted tight and correctly, wall plate if used is connected properly and is not so old that the soldering has gone etc...)

You will be able to see where the cavity wall men went there will be freashly filled holes on the mortar joints, are any of those near your aerial cable?

Dont retune your TV, you will just end up loosing everything, the picture will come back when you find where the problem is.

Also does your Aerial point in the same direction as everyone elses?

Did they go in the loft? we often have to visit to reconnect loft boxes after insulators/plumbers have trodden on them and pulled the cables.

They've agreed to pay up to £100 towards the fix, hopefully just a loose connection somewhere.
