Just trying to guage opinion here on what you guys would like to see, do - any improvements, suggestions, pointers.
Sensible answers please, and we're not having strippers or a heavy metal band as was suggested a couple of years back.
And I'm still going to be there ......................Del.

Back on topic - I'd like burgers/sandwiches/coffee stall/van but I'd guess the hotel wouldn't like it.

I was going to suggest the same. If the hotel don't like it, may be they could provide something outside???The stalls selling parts were good last year. How about somebody selling tools?

Back on topic - I'd like burgers/sandwiches/coffee stall/van but I'd guess the hotel wouldn't like it.
On the whole its a good format we just need to get luckier with the damn weather.
I did like Bruce's contribution last year and anything for charity has got to be worth doing again, only this time i think we need to get the challenge rolling on the forum prior to the event then it will get more attendance on the day.
Why not hold it at one of the Challenge race meets? Lots of TVR people, usually lots of space in one of the parking paddocks to hold such an event, plenty of burger vans, bar, disco on the Saturday night in the club house thing and loads of racing cars to watch over the weekend... Perfect!
Following on from LG's idea of outside catering, how about an outside bar ? Again if it were run by a separate contractor the hotel may notbe too happy, but surely the hotel could arrange some outside facilities for a pie and a pint ?
Then again, it's not exactly a long walk to the pub is it !!
eta, the logistics may mean its not possible, but how about a drive out at some point during the weekend ?

I'd like a new device, like a detector that thumps you hard in the the middle of the face whenever you pick an inappropriate pump, that way I arrive £300 better off and in time for lunch. SHPub perhaps? 
Other than that enjoyed the suspension talk on the Saturday the year before, was there something similar last year? And agree that some outside catering would be welcome.
Also as a relative newbie to the Griffith\TVR fold could we find one or two volunteers to talk about or present something that they have done to improve a Griff\TVR - Could be anything from the 2" body lift, upgrading brakes, EMU fiddling to a full restoration etc etc maybe a 10-20 min' slot every hour?
Obviously this depend on volunteers and there would have to be enough interest from those that have yet to get their chest wig and medallion!

It may be interesting for a few that don't do there own maintanence to see a Griff up on ramps, so then they can see what goes on under the car. I know you can get portable ramps but not to sure if they can be hired for a weekend event and at what cost? we could then have some talks about maintanece, Chassis protection what to look for etc etc.

Derek had swine flu last year so we did not have the talk on bumpy stuff.
TVRBeaver. One of the band due to play Sat night had a bad car crash and they cancelled, so the pub got the duo late on, guess they were more Heckman turnoff underdrive(L) but they are available for Chimpfest I hear.

I would just like to attend.........But current "Credit Crunch" means I have to watch my savings as I'm getting close to retirement age and western Canada is a long way from the UK.Sensible answers please, and we're not having strippers or a heavy metal band as was suggested a couple of years back.

It is not like me to gratuitously volunteer for anything, but there's not a lot I haven't fiddled with on my car and would happily talk people through all of the different mods I have done and why.
What these things shouldn't be though is dick measuring contest or an argument. More a talk about why an owner has decided to do the modifications they have and if it helps newer owners that's the real benefit for me.
The difficulty with discussing cam's, dampers, springs etc etc is that it get's rather subjective depending on the car.
I'd be prepared to discuss what I did to install the Emerald and why I chose to do it the way I did. I'd also happily discuss the brake upgrade and other mods that I've done to improve the car in my view.
Perhaps if people were nominated as someone who'd be prepared to discuss differing aspects of their car or Mod's they'd done and then people registered an interest then time slots could be organised.
The individuals are not going to be absolute experts in ECU's or suspensions or whatever and the participants have to take that into account . ..

Definately think some sort of burger van/beer tent(marquee) would be good. But then again, crap weather would spoil them !!
Would love to see an autotest, but unfortunately the carpark aint big enough, and it isn't a good enough reason to consider moving venue.
I didn't get chance to do driving game thingy last year but it seemed very popular.
As for talks, being on a stand gives you a chance to do a lot of it!!!!!!!!! But it's great
