TYR - Now I get it

Although frustrating to the extreme at times, have come to the conclusion that this is what is so charismatic about TVR and the interest they create.
It suddenly came to me while waiting for the tyres to be fitted to my Chimaera and watching the body language and boring dialogue of the general masses of punters arriving at the reception to have their hum drum transportation re-shod with new rubber after 3 years and 30k grim miles on the school run.
Nothing as simple as a quick question and answer followed by how much?
For me its an adventure of discovery, to find tyres that not only fit the quirky rim sizes but have speed ratings and rubber compounds that will suit the weight and power output.
Not just Saturday morning for 2 plus hours reading The Daily Mail and being told how I'm personally destroying the planet while sat in a grotty garage waiting room.
For me its a couple of visits and discussions with a proper tyre technician who has a genuine enthusiasm for helping me get exactly what I want. After a couple of visits, and phone calls we attend our pre-booked appointment with our newly made friends.. Not for me the cheap shabby seats in front of am TV, I'm invited to the business end of their premises while I watch my pride and joy lavished with attention.
This seems to be the case whenever anything needs replacing, be it water pump, brake pads, number plates, it is never boring or simple, always complex and challenging.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that TVR makes me and others who get involved better people.

After asking a tyre question on here I spent 30 mins internetting to see what was available.
Then spent 5 mins talking to E Tyres people.
Today a man came to my house with a van and 2 tyres - I sat in my armchair with a coffee and reading as he fit them and he was off in 45 minutes and I still seem to have un-chunked rims.
Garage and tyre shop waiting areas must be amongst the worst places to spend time and I will NEVER use a mass market tyre place (KF) again as they have damaged every rim (3) that I have taken in despite (in spite of?) asking them to be careful. Both occasions I didn't have any choice.
