1) When did Minis ditch the carb in favour of injection?

2) Are all Injected Minis 1275cc?

Emissions requirements drove the change - last Carb Mini's are K-Reg 92/93. 1275 fitted with weedy HIF38 carb - Sprite/Mayfair.

All injected Mini's are 1275cc - SPi and Mpi

Close, but not quite.

The Cooper went injection from October 1991, then in August 1992 the 998 was droppped and all models became 1275, with the City being rebadged as a Sprite. The Sprite and Mayfair finally went over to injection in 1994.

I reckon the last of the last carb Minis were the Tahiti limited edition. Mostly L reg, 1275 carb based on the Sprite base model, which oddly, at that time was spi.

The mpi ws my car of choice for many years, not interested in tuning it (if I wanted a fast car, it wasn't gonna be a mini!) Run mine daily for 5 years with no troubles bar usual wear and tear.
