New Camera time
Discussion
Hi,
It's that time again and I don't have a clue which one to buy. I usually go for the budget end of the compact market and I guess I get what I pay for. Usually fairly good day pictures but with poor night shots, crap zoom shots and average sound on the video clips.
This time I am prepared to push the budget out a little further in my search for a decent camera. So this is what I want:-
- Budget up to £350.
- Needs to be compact as I don't understand changing lenses and all that.
- Be able to take clear night shots (since digital cameras have been around
a night picture has never made it in to our photo album!)
- needs to be able to Zoom and maintain good picture quality.
- I would prefer it to not be really bulky.
If any of you have any suggestions and advice it will be appreciated.

Prior to getting a DSLR i had (and still have) a Sony DSC H20 (http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/sony-dsc-h20.cfm) Which i guess is at the higher end of the compact range with more features and options, excellent lens and HD movie capabilities. Up to the point where i needed the options of different lenses and ability to shoot in RAW this camera did absoltely everything i needed it to.
Two thumbs up from me and a bit cheaper than your budget.
